According to the 20-year vision document, Iran should achieve the first economic, scientific, and technological position in the region in 1404. Therefore, publishing scientific journals is a step towards achieving this goal. Scientific-Research Journal of Researches in Mechanics of Agricultural Machinery has started its activity in the Faculty of Agriculture of Shahrekord University in 2012.

It is currently evaluating and publishing outstanding articles by professors, students, and researchers in various institutions in Mechanical Engineering of Biosystem, food industry engineering, and energy in agriculture. The mentioned specialties include the subdiscipline of Agricultural Machinery Design (Tillage, planting, holding, and harvesting machines), food industry machines, internal combustion engines, human factor engineering, Physical-mechanical properties and rheology of agricultural products, Precision agriculture (Computer modeling and simulation in agriculture, precision and measurement tools, machine vision and artificial intelligence). Considering these scientific subdisciplines, a wide variety of fields have been evaluated by researchers and scholars, and it has been the result of various scientific and research articles and reports; therefore, publishing these scientific achievements is one of the main tasks of this journal
