Every year, a high percentage of garden products are lost due to mechanical damage or their quality is reduced. Vibration due to road transportation has a significant effect on the fruits. On the other hand, in order to prevent the mechanical damage to the fruits, having knowledge about these effects can be the most important way of reducing fruit waste and damage. In this study, four effective factors were investigated on the bruise of peach variety of Alberta in a road transportation simulation system. Effect of treatments such as vibration acceleration (0.3 and 0.5 g), frequency (10 and 12 Hz), time (15 and 30 min) and box type (wood and plastic) on the volume, area and depth of bruise were investigated. Results showed that the maximum bruise area was obtained when the acceleration of 0.5 g and frequency of 12 Hz were applied on the fruits. Also, the maximum depth and volume of bruise are related to 30 minutes vibration time at acceleration of 0.5 g and frequency of 12 Hz. Also, by increasing frequency, depth and volume of bruise increased and mechanical damage to the fruits in wood boxes is more than plastic boxes. Fruit bruise increased during long transportation time.
