This study was carried out to evaluate the energy efficiency of safflower production units using data envelopment analysis technique in Jolgeh district of Isfahan province in ????. Data were collected from a total of ?? safflower farms using questionnaires and face to face interviews. The results showed that the input and output energy were ?????.? and ????.?? megajol/ha, respectively. The highest share of energy consumption was allocated to chemical fertilizers (??.??%), fuel (??.??%) and water (??.??%) respectively. The average technical efficiency, net technical efficiency and efficiency of Safflower product scale were ??.??%, ??.??% and ??.??%, respectively. According to the CCR model, the highest intakes of excessive intake units are related to the inputs of chemical fertilizers, especially urea (??%), diesel fuel (??%), water (??%) and seed consumption (?%). Fuels with ??% and then urea fertilizer with ??% have the largest share in the emissions of greenhouse gases in the production of safflower (Figure ?-??).
